Gandhi's personal belongings, unarguably a national heritage, were brought back to India by none other than liquor baron, Mr. Malaya.
Gandhi obviously is reduced to symbolism in this country, or may be just a piece of history.
Gandhi invented the politics of aggressive moralism, and famously fought for prohibition. Mr. Malaya whose business and lifestyle has hardly anything to do with such politics or Gandhian moralism in general decided to show off his monetary strength by buying Gandhi’s belongings for over 9 million dollors.
